PSG urged to fight to keep Mbappe by Paris mayor

PSG's decision to accept Al-Hilal's world-record transfer bid of £259 million for Kylian Mbappe has surprised many.

The French World Cup winner is said to have turned down the move, which was for a one year deal.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi wants to sell Mbappe, as he refuses to renew his contract that only has a year to run.

The club are even ready to let Mbappe rot on the bench for a year if he refuses to leave this summer.

'They have the best player in the world and they are willing not to play with him," stated Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo on BFM TV this week.

“I admit that I don't understand anything. You have to keep it in Paris."
