Former Pescara midfielder Marco Verratti says he'll return to Serie A after agreeing a deal with PSG.

Verratti flew out to Paris yesterday.

"I can't wait to begin, it was an opportunity I could not pass up," said the Italian Under-21 international. "I'm excited because I'm going to play with champions that I have only seen on television.

"I hold Pescara in my heart and I will return as soon as possible."
