PSG goalkeeper Gigi Buffon has revisited their elimination from the Champions League at the hands of Manchester United.

The shock result has heaped pressure on coach Thomas Tuchel's future.

Buffon recalled: "I think this year we can really have regrets. Because this season, for me, our team had the potential and the ability to go after this Champions League. I'm convinced.

"The match we played (against Manchester United) was not a game we deserved to lose. Honestly, this match is hard to explain. We lost 3-1 and I do not know how, it's hard to explain. We have made mistakes and I am sure that if we face this situation in the future, we will not repeat the same mistakes."
