PSG captain Thiago Silva is set to resist a move to England to return to Italy.

Silva has been linked with Chelsea in January, but Tuttosport says Juventus are set to sign him.

Silva, 32, is in the last year of his contract in the French capital and is being lined up for a switch to Serie A, where he previously played with AC Milan.

Reports in Italy state that papers to secure the Brazilian centre back are 'virtually signed' with discussions at an advanced stage already.

PSG could offer a potential roadblock, by triggering a one-year extension for Silva, but Tuttosport understand there is optimism that a compromise can be agreed.
