PSG are set to trump Barcelona for Japanese superkid Takefusa Kuba.

The midfielder is a former Barca junior, though was forced to abandon his football education at La Masia as the Catalans were punished for their youth recruitment methods by FIFA.

Kuba maintained his progress with FC Tokyo and now 18 is ready to return to Europe.

Barca and Real Madrid had both expressed interest in bringing the teen back to Spain this summer, but they now appear to have been beaten to his signature by PSG.

Sponichi Annex reports Kuba, now off contract from FC Tokyo, has agreed to move to PSG after accepting a salary offer of €827,000.

The youngster will pack his bags for Paris once his Copa America commitments with Japan are concluded.
