Productivity a major problem for Sydney FC says Lavicka

Sydney FC coach Vitezslav Lavicka has conceded that his side's failure to produce goals is now a major problem.

The Sky Blues were beaten 1-0 by North Queensland Fury in Townsville last night, leaving the Czech tactician scratching his head as to why his players cannot find the back of the net.

Sydney dropped from 9th to 10th as the Fury climbed off the bottom of the table and Lavicka is beginning to worry about the reigning Champions' plight.

"I think in general play, especially in the first half, we played pretty well, but our biggest problem this season and the last three games is productivity," he said. "Without the goals, we have no chance of being successful.

"We still have a target and a season goal and without the points we have no chance to climb up."

Sydney will try to turn those wrongs into rights when in their next match on Thursday, December 23 against Melbourne Heart at Sydney Football Stadium as they have the bye this weekend.
