Middlesbrough have handed two more of their academy youngsters pro deals.

England youth internationals Jonathan Franks and Jason Steele have both signed two-year contracts.

Goalkeeper Steele is hoping to celebrate his 17th birthday next month while representing England in the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

17-year-old Franks, a Stockton-born right winger or striker, is also in a list of 34 players being considered by England for a final squad of 21 for U-17 World Cup taking place in Korea and Japan.
