Liverpool and Newcastle United must meet the buyout clause in RB Leipzig midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai's contract by the end of Friday.
The Hungary international's deal carries a €60m escape option which expires on June 30.
As yet, neither Leipzig nor Szoboszlai's agents have received word from either Premier League club about whether they will meet the clause. However, the midfielder's agents have held talks with officials from Newcastle and Liverpool in recent days.
Should the clause expire, RB Leipzig will be free to negotiate their own fee for Szoboszlai.
Meanwhile, Hungarian Football Xtra is reporting a private jet flew between Budapest and Liverpool on Thursday, fueling talk of the player's agents holding new talks with the Reds.
