Pressley warns Chelsea, Liverpool target Berra about quitting Hearts

Former Hearts captain Stephen Pressley has warned Christophe Berra about quitting Tynecastle too soon.

Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United have all been confirmed as suitors for Berra by Hearts coach Csaba Laszlo.

But Pressley says: "Christophe is receiving a lot of positive media at this moment in time and it is very well deserved.

"I think he is going to be a terrific player.

"He followed on from me in terms of taking the captaincy and has grown in to the role and his performances this season have been fantastic.

"I don't know the financial position of Hearts and whether they need to sell players or can continue to hold on to their prize assets.

"But Hearts are always going to be a selling club and in time Christophe will move on, especially if he maintains his level of performance.

"However, he has to be careful with his choice and Andrew Driver is in a very similar position."
