Premiership duo make shortlist for 2013 African Footballer of the Year

Nigeria midfielder, John Obi Mikel, has been named among the final three for the 2013 African Footballer of the Year. Caf announced on Tuesday that current African Footballer of the Year, Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure will be joined by Didier Drogba and Chelsea star, Mikel in battling for the honour.

The winner will be announced on the 9th of January 2014 at the GLO-CAF Awards Gala to be held in Lagos Nigeria
