PREMIER LEAGUE: Sunderland continue their revival under O'Neill with Swansea victory

Swansea may be a force to be reckoned with at home but on their travels it is a different matter and this continued with a 2-0 loss at Sunderland. The Swans travelled to the North East looking for a third league win on the bounce and had the ideal opportunity to open the scoring but Scott Sinclair missed an early easy chance which was to prove costly.

For almost immediately Sunderland went down the other end and took the lead with a marvellous individual strike from Stephane Sessegnon who curled the ball home from 20 yards.

Swansea continued to play their attractive passing game but lacked the cutting edge in the final third and despite dominating possession it was the home side who sealed the points late-on.

This time it was Sessegnon turning provider as he set up Craig Gardner for a wonderful volleyed finish from 30 yards.

So the Swans unbeaten four game run ends whilst the Black Cats revival under new boss Martin O'Neill continues apace.
