PREMIER LEAGUE: Liverpool heap more misery on Wolves

Wolves remain in deep relegation trouble as Liverpool continued their impressive away form in the league with a comprehensive 3-0 success at Molineux. Wolves have now lost four of their last five league games at home and despite reaching the interval all square Liverpool always looked the more likely victors.

Three goals after the break for the Reds was enough to end a run of just one win in six league outings.

Liverpool set themselves on the way to three points with two goals in nine minutes just after the break.

Under pressure striker Andy Carroll opened the scoring when Charlie Adam crossed and the former Newcastle striker got in front of the defender to prod home.

On the hour and the visitor's doubled their advantage. Craig Bellamy continued his run of scoring form when he ran at the Wolves defence who backed off allowing the Welshman to curl home from the edge of the box.

The home side had to push forward in an attempt to get something out of the game and were caught out on the break for the decisive third goal.

Adam again was provider, this time for Dirk Kuyt to apply the finishing touch into the far corner.

Wolves are now without a win in nine games and the boos ringing out around the ground from the home fans heaped more pressure on boss Mick McCarthy.
