PREMIER LEAGUE: Bolton inflict more misery on Wolves

Wolves remain bottom of the table after missing a succession of chances and handing the initiative to fellow strugglers Bolton in a 3-2 home loss. Wolves have now failed to win any of their last 10 league and cup games at Molineux and have only seven games to save their Premiership status.

Bolton's mini-revival continues and they pull clear of the bottom three, but for Wolves their wastefulness in front of goal could prove costly.

The home side did deservedly take the lead through Michael Kightly early in the second half after a first period in which Wolves had missed a host of chances. But within nine minutes Bolton had levelled with the award of a soft penalty when Roger Johnson was adjudged to have fouled Mark Davies. Martin Petrov converted.

The game seemed to be heading for a draw until a flurry of late goals.

First David N'Gog's header came back from the crossbar and Marco Alonso was on hand to crash home the rebound.

The Bolton looked to have sealed the game as Kevin Davies collected Chris Eagles pass to fire number three, but Wolves rallied and Matthew Jarvis reduced the deficit.

The home side continued to press but time had run out for them and the final whistle was met with jeers from the home crowd.
