Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli says their bid to qualify for Europe is on after victory over Genoa.

Mario Alberto Santana's sensational backheel flick, Alberto Gilardino and 17-year-old Khouma Babacar saw Fiorentina dominate Genoa 3-0.

"We went into so many games in an emergency situation, but once we had a full week to train, we played like Fiorentina again," said Prandelli.

"It may not seem that important, but when you recover your strength and train with an eye to the upcoming match, good things come from it.

"The victory at Napoli gave us the necessary belief and now we know that we can make it back into the European places. Fourth remains a dream."
