Former Italy coach Cesare Prandelli says Cristian Brocchi can handle the AC Milan job.
Brocchi has stepped in at Milan after the sacking of Sinisa Mihajlovic.
“Brocchi was the first signing I made at Verona," Prandelli told calciomercato.com.
“As a player he was tactically intuitive, starting his journey wide and then eventually able to feature in any midfield role.
“He was a very altruistic player, generous and very sharp, someone who always relished confrontation.
“Brocchi can do really well at Milan and I think he was destined for greatness. He always studied football a great deal and will continue to do so.
“He loves an exchange of ideas, but I am sure he'll be able to bring forward his own ideas to get the best out of the players at his disposal.
“He has a great quality that not all Coaches possess, which is the ability to read the game very well. He can make the most of this chance, despite it being a complicated start."
