West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis has blamed himself for Monday night's 3-0 loss to Manchester City.
The Baggies kicked off the new Premier League season in disappointing fashion at The Hawthorns, conceding twice to Yaya Toure inside 25 minutes, before Vincent Kompany got in on the act midway through the second half.
Pulls started with both Saido Berahino and Rickie Lambert up front and admits that he was a little naive in thinking two strikers would be able to get the job done against a City side full of quality in the midfield and attacking areas.
"If I had my time again I'd do things differently. I take responsibility for the way I set the team up," he said.
"City controlled the midfield.
"I wanted to reward Saido and Rickie but it meant we were outnumbered in midfield.
"I wanted to be positive - it's taught me a lesson."
