Yannick Djalo has claimed that he could be on his way to join Aston Villa in January.
The 25-year olds career has been in limbo since the summer when he departed Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon for French club Nice but the move was not sanctioned by FIFA as it occurred outside the transfer window.
Nice thought they had grounds for an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport which was later rejected forcing Djalo's playing status to remain in dispute.
But he has posted on his Facebook page that he could be on his way to Villa Park in the New Year after attracting interest from English clubs in the past few years.
