Nwankwo Kanu says he's ready to quit Portsmouth - and the Premiership - to continue his career.
"If I have to leave England completely in order to get the kind of contract I want, then that is what I am going to do," the Nigeria international said.
"I don't want to keep driving four hours every day from London and back. I want to settle near the club and the training ground. A one-year contract means that I cannot do that. By the time I spend between five and six months looking for a house, putting things together and moving in, most of the season will be gone.
"No player can give his best in that kind of situation. And then, what happens if I do not get a longer offer? I have to start thinking about moving again? I have a young family and I have to think about them too. It is not only about Kanu anymore."
