Portsmouth's Kanu not thinking of retirement

Portsmouth striker Nwankwo Kanu has revealed the thought of retirement is the furthest thing from his mind.

He told Sunday Sunsport: "I thought I should call it quits after the 2008 Nations in Ghana, but each time I remember that I do not have a Nations Cup gold medal and that I have not scored at any of the five Nations Cups I played in, I would want to go on till I get there.

"The World Cup and Nations Cup medals are still missing in my cabinet and I would wish to win gold in either of them before I retire. I think it is possible. My faith is strong on achieving that."
