Portsmouth goalkeeper David James says he's getting better with age.

James was again superb in Pompey's victory over Aston Villa yesterday and said: "The environment at Portsmouth is fantastic for me and for us as a group of players.

"I didn't envisage being in this position three years ago. I wasn't sure exactly what was going to happen.

"I'm enjoying it and it will be conducive to continued better performances. I think I'm getting better as I get older."
