Portsmouth are willing to allow Avram Grant to go without compensation to West Ham United - if he takes high earner Tal Ben Haim with him!

The Mirror says crisis-club Pompey are ready to waive a £1.8million compensation package from West Ham if they can get the Israeli defender off their books.

Grant has already agreed to take charge at Upton Park after being offered a three-year deal.

But West Ham must now decide to either take Ben Haim off Portsmouth's hands or pay the required compensation.
