Embattled Portsmouth have offered new contracts to at least ten players in a bid to retain some sort of stability at the club.
Veteran goalkeeper David James, striker Kanu and defenders Hermann Hreidarsson and Ricardo Rocha are the key players Pompey hope to re-sign along with a bunch of youngsters who have also been offered deals.
The south coast club are also hoping they can bring Genoa's Anthony Vanden Borre back to the club after his loan deal last term whilst fellow loanees Jamie O'Hara, Hassan Yebda, Aruna Dindane and Frederic Piquionne have all returned to their clubs.
