Portsmouth number two Flahavan signs another short term deal

Keeper Darryl Flahavan has signed a new one-month contract with Portsmouth. The 33-year-old has signed two similar deals with the Championship side already this season after leaving Crystal Palace at the end of last season.

The former Southend keeper has yet to appear for Pompey.

But he is happy to continue to play second fiddle to Jamie Ashdown, who has been in top form this season.

"It feels right here - it always has done," he told the club's official website.

"It's always been an ambition of mine to be here, so I'm over the moon.

"Jamie and I get on really well. At the moment he's playing really well but I'll just keep working hard and if I get my chance then I'll do my best for the club."
