Portsmouth lead chase for Tottenham's Chimbonda

According to the Daily Mail, Pascal Chimbonda is set for a summer exit of Tottenham with Portsmouth leading the chase for his signature.

He is said to be unhappy at Spurs following the January signings of full backs Alan Hutton from Rangers and Brazil international Gilberto from Hertha Berlin.

Newcastle are also thought to be interested and, earlier this year, the former Wigan defender reportedly told friends: "Kevin Keegan has approached me and they've offered me more money. I'm definitely leaving Spurs. It's all about the money."

The 29-year-old has since opened talks at White Hart Lane about extending his contract, but now appears to be on his way out.
