The News of the World says the fullback is praying to be rescued from his Portsmouth hell - with QPR keen to snap him up.

A source said: "Steve is deeply frustrated by the mess Portsmouth are in and wants away. He knows the club is going nowhere and he is keen to get his career back on track."
