New Portsmouth chairman Sulaiman Al Fahim has poured cold water on reports of a link-up with Argentina coach Diego Maradona.

The Arab property tycoon has insisted there are no such plans in place, however.

He told The News: "We have no relation with Diego Maradona or anything else.

"The guy e-mailed (someone else] and not us so we have nothing to do with it."
