Portsmouth boss Redknapp saw Kanoute's Copa performance

Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp attended Spain's Copa del Rey final last night and saw Sevilla striker Fredi Kanoute score and get sent-off.

Redknapp said on Friday: "I've been to Spain for the last three weekends and I'm going to watch the Spanish Cup final. It's an interesting game and there are a lot of good players there.

"I don't have to watch Fredi Kanoute to know how good he is. He's a top player but the money they are asking for is a lot. I don't know if he's worth £7m. You have to take into account his age and everything else.

"He's the second top goalscorer in Spain and is a real handful. I know what he is like. I brought him to England when I was at West Ham.

"It's so difficult not to be put off by the money though. To be honest I'd be surprised if it happened.

"It's just about finding fair value. I don't want to pay £4m more than players are worth."
