Harry Redknapp says he is not planning a bid to bring former Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu to Portsmouth.

Sunday newspaper reports claimed Pompey were interested in a January deal for Mutu, who has impressed at Fiorentina this season.

"I have never thought about him," Redknapp told Sky Sports News. "He went to Chelsea and had his problems, but I've never thought about him.

"He's a good player, but he's not a player I've ever spoken to anybody about. Where that comes from, God only knows."
