Portsmouth boss Tony Adams has revealed he's in a tug-of-war with Arsenal over prospective assistant manager Martin Keown.

Adams admits he needs help and is turning to football's big names to aid him. There have been calls to his old boss Arsene Wenger.

But Adams revealed: "Alex Ferguson has been more approachable than Arsene. It's very rare that I get a conversation with him.

"I had a quick conversation with Arsene about Martin and Arsene was thinking of taking Martin himself. I know Martin inside out but I have a few other people in mind."
