Portsmouth wants to hold onto midfielder Sean Davis.

The Mirror says Pompey have launched a bid to keep out-of-contract Davis after Wigan made a move to sign the midfielder.

Davis, 28, is one of several players who could quit Fratton Park this summer when Sol Campbell and Kanu are free agents.

Liverpool want Glen Johnson and Peter Crouch could leave.
