Porto compete with Fulham for Newcastle winger Jonas

Porto are chasing Newcastle United winger Jonas Gutierrez.

The Evening Chronicle says the Portuguese champions are keen to offer Argentina international Gutierrez his first taste of Champions League football next season.

But any deal is on hold while Porto – and Gutierrez’s agent – wait to discover what Newcastle plan to do with “Spiderman”.

Porto are interested in taking the 25-year-old on loan for a season with an option to buy him next summer. Fulham and Tottenham have also been linked with Jonas since Newcastle's relegation.
