Porto coach Vitor Pereira remains in the frame for the Everton job.

The Liverpool Echo says Pereira has already spoken to Toffees chairman Bill Kenwright - who is determined to leave no stone unturned as he bids to find the right man - and the Porto boss is keen on the role.

The successful candidate must prove he can handle the pressure of filling the considerable gap left by David Moyes, and Pereira is no stranger to the weight of expectations.

Former Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez remains favourite for the job.
