Ribeiro was surprisingly appointed as manager of the Valiants over the summer and it was his close mate Mourinho's recommendation which convinced owner Norman Smurthwaite to hand the 40-year-old the reins at Vale Park.
Ribeiro has now gone on to reveal that he is a lot like Mourinho in his management style and added that he likes to integrate his own ideas to the United manager's way of thinking.
He told The Times: "What I do is 90 per cent like him.
"I have my opinion, my ideas, I watched many, many training [sessions], took things from him, and combine with my ideas."
Under Ribeiro's guidance, the Stoke-on-Trent outfit sit sixth on the League One table, just three points off a top-three position.
