Police want Wolves talks over Hughes reaction

Police will speak with Wolves over the goal celebration of Notts County striker Lee Hughes this week.

Hughes scored the opener on Tuesday night and lifted his shirt to reveal a T-shirt with 'Boing, Boing' written on it.

That is the slogan of Wolves' rivals West Brom - Hughes' former club.

After the match, which Wolves won 4-2 after extra time, violence flared when home fans attacked County supporters' coaches. A 78-year-old woman's face was gashed by broken glass.

Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey branded the yobs involved as 'morons' and said they would be banned from Molineux.

The game was Hughes' first at Wolves since serving three years of a six-year jail term for causing death by dangerous driving after his car was involved in a fatal crash in 2003.
