Pogba praise after he helps France reach World Cup final

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba won great praise after helping France reach the World Cup final.

Pogba impressed for France's 1-0 win against semifinal opponents Belgium.

"Sometimes he can lose himself by doing things that aren't useful," former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger said. “Today he kept things simple & was impressive. His long balls are exceptional, few can do that in the world."

Meanwhile, ex-United defender Ferdinand offered: "(N'Golo) Kante's freed him up.

“In this tournament so far Kante is that definite holding midfield player in this team and it allows him to flourish.

“What I've been impressed with more than anything in this tournament is he's been very efficient, he's always trying to play the ball forward

“His first instinct when he gets in these areas is to pass the ball forward and he's running on as well.

“That's why it's difficult for a midfielder, an opposing midfielder doesn't want people to run beyond them."
