Lukas Podolski is backing Vissel Kobe's move for Barcelona captain Andres Iniesta.

The midfielder has played his last game for Barca and due to announce his next move. The destination is expected to be Kobe, where he will earn €15m-a-season.

Podolski is currently their star import and said: "Iniesta is a great player, he is a player for all teams, he can touch the map with his finger and he would be welcome anywhere in the world.

"If he came, that would be great, playing with football players like him is a great incentive, having him as a teammate would be incredible for me.

"We often played against each other and we know each other. It's all right."
