Pochettino expecting different Tottenham against Newcastle

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino believes his side has improved out of sight in the past two months.

Spurs were beaten by the Magpies in the Premier League on October 26 but have since won seven times in 11 matches in all competitions which leads the manager of the north London club to believe that they are in much better form for Wednesday night's Capital One Cup quartyer-final.

"We are in a different moment now to the one we were in before," he said. "You always learn every day in football.

"Every game is different, but we understand we need a very good performance because Newcastle are a very good team.

"Tomorrow is an important game for the club and the supporters because we want to reach the semi-finals and hope we all create a good atmosphere together to win the game."

Tottenham made it through to the final eight of the league cup competition by defeating Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0 at the end of October.
