Plymouth's Gray fighting for Man Utd future

Plymouth Argyle loan signing David Gray admits he is playing for his future at Manchester United.

"My goal in life at the minute is to do as well as I can for Plymouth and come back and play for Manchester United's first team," he told the Edinburgh Evening News.

Gray joined United from Hearts back in 2005 but has yet to make a full appearance for the club. He has previously been on loan at Crewe and Antwerp but sees his current opportunity as his best chance to prove his worth to the Premier League leaders.

"If I play 20 games for Plymouth between now and the end of the season and do really well, I don't see why I shouldn't get a good shot at going for the first team. The experience of playing in important games with Plymouth can only be better for me."
