Plymouth want to keep West Ham defender N'Gala

Plymouth Argyle boss Paul Mariner is keen to hold onto on-loan West Ham United defender Bondz N'Gala.

N'Gala's deal at Upton Park runs out in June and the Hammers will not be retaining his services.

Mariner does not want Sunday's dead rubber against fellow relegation victims Peterborough to be N'Gala's Home Park farewell and has offered him a deal to join on a permanent basis.

"His contract is sat there to be signed," Mariner told The Herald.

"As far as I'm concerned, it's done, but, until he puts pen to paper, it isn't done.

"I spoke to him and I told him exactly how I feel about him. I think he has done exceptionally well for a young player."
