Plymouth Argyle manager Paul Mariner said he is happy to have a versatile player such as Kenny Cooper in his squad.
The 25-year old American forward joined the Pilgrims on loan from German club 1860 Munich late last month for the rest of the season and Mariners said his versatility makes him a very important player in his squad.
"People like to pigeon-holes players and you look at Kenny at six foot four, and you think he's a centre-back or a centre-forward hold-up man," Mariner told the club's official website.
"He's actually neither of those. He can hold up the ball but he's very mobile, and we're expecting him to work the channels in a similar way to Jamie (Mackie).
"We've been tracking Kenny for a long time "
Cooper made his Pilgrims debut in the 1-0 home loss to West Bromwich Albion on the weekend.
