Former PSG goalkeeper Alphonse Areola almost missed his permanent transfer at West Ham.

Agent and lawyer Rafaela Pimenta admits the passing of agent Mino Raiola almost saw the move fall through.

Pimenta told the Telegraph: "I told myself that I would mourn after and we completed the deal for Alphonse at West Ham.

"If I hadn't picked up the phone at the time, they would surely have signed another goalkeeper."

Areola signed permanently after spending the previous season on-loan with the Londoners.
