Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips does not want to leave the club in the summer.

The defensive midfielder endured a miserable first campaign at the Etihad Stadium on a personal level.

Despite City winning the Premier League and FA Cup, and being in the Champions League final, Phillips has barely featured in any important games.

However, The Mail states that Phillips believes that he will be better next season.

He will be fully fit and overcome any niggling injuries, while this year will have helped him better understand the demands of boss Pep Guardiola.

Phillips will be hoping he can rotate more often with midfielder Rodri next term.
