Algeria goalkeeper Rais M'Bolhi is one of 25 candidates on the shortlist for the 2014 African Player of the Year for players based outside of Africa.
The 28-year old gloveman, who joined the Philadelphia Union in July, is up for the award after starring for the Algerians at the World Cup in Brazil.
M'Bolhi was in career-best form as Algeria progressed to the Round of 16 before losing 2-1 in extra-time to eventual champions Germany.
The former Marseille and CSKA Sofia man is joined by the likes of Manchester City and Ivory Coast ace Yaya Toure (three-time winner), Swansea City and Ivory Coast striker Wilfried Bony, Ghana and Al-Ain superstar Asamoah Gyan and Valencia star Sofiane Feghouli on the list for the CAF award which will be announced on January 8.
