Philadelphia Union coach Peter Nowak says new signing Freddy Adu has arrived ready to play.

Adu joined Union yesterday from Benfica.

Nowak wouldn't say for certain whether Adu would play against FC Dallas today, but did add "he is ready to go."

A source told philly.com he won't be a designated player and that it is a multi-year deal with a club option.
