Professional Footballers Australia will take the situation surrounding Sydney FC striker Alex Brosque further according to chief Brendan Schwab.
Brosque was hoping to land a big pay-day with Japanese club Shimizu S-Pulse, believed to be around $1.5million, but the Sky Blues are refusing to allow his exit.
The reigning A-League champions claim that Shimizu have breached FIFA regulations by pursuing Brosque as they did not enter into negotiations with Sydney after signing a new deal during the current season.
Brosque, who is contracted until the 2013/14 season, and PFA will take the matter to arbitration if Sydney do not allow him to leave as they claim his recently-signed contract does not start until April 1 - after the current A-League season finishes.
