Peterborough chief Fry admits Sheffield Utd, Rangers target Clarke-Harris could be sold

Peterborough United chief Barry Fry has conceded the club could be forced into selling Jonson Clarke-Harris this summer.

Cardiff City, Swansea City, Sheffield United and Rangers have all been linked with the 26-year-old, who has scored a stunning 33 goals this season.

"Without divulging, the player's not on a fortune," Fry told This Is Futbol. "At our level you don't get a fortune and at Peterborough you don't get a fortune.

"Throughout the last 25 years, we've put players in there, we've developed players, and the owners have put so much in, and it's my job to sell a player to offset the losses."

He added: "We've done that very, very successfully over the last 15 years in particular, and how we attract players in, we say 'look, you're not going to become millionaires with us, we're little Peterborough United, but what we will do is give you a stage and if you perform, then people will buy you off us and they'll give you lucrative contracts.'
