Perth Glory prepared to lend Socceroos to Adelaide

Perth Glory have said they would be prepared to lend their trio of Socceroos to Adelaide United for the Asian Champions League.

The Reds will be involved in next season's version of the ACL and have been given a boost by Glory coach Dave Mitchell who has offered Mile Sterjovski, Jacob Burns and Chris Coyne for a loan stint.

The move would see Aurelio Vidmar's squad strengthen dramatically and also give the trio more game time ahead of the 2010 World Cup, which Mitchell touched on.

"The big picture is the most important thing and that's helping out the national team," Mitchell said.

"The national team - it feeds World Cups, it feeds the A-League and it feeds everything else.

"Why would I be so selfish and tell our players 'no you can't play for them'?

"This would help Adelaide in the Asian Champions League and it's going to help the (Glory) players and the Socceroos.

"It's a win, win, win. Why would I be so selfish?"
