Perth Glory coach Dave Mitchell has cast doubt on handing Amaral a new deal. "He's an ultimate professional," Mitchell told the West Australian.

"Again he's got to come back and show that he's fully fit and recovered from an injury. From that point, if he has done, then it's a decision we've got to make going forward - is he a player that we want at Perth Glory?

"His professionalism and his attitude are great, so that's a real positive. We've just got to make sure that he's fit enough to play."
