Andreas Pereira is determined to continue giving Jose Mourinho plenty to think about in regards to his Manchester United squad selection.
The Brazilian midfielder impressed with a goal in United's 2-0 pre-season friendly win over Wigan Athletic on Saturday and is keen to show the new manager exactly what he is capable of as the Red Devils players scurry to put themselves at the forefront of the Portuguese tactician's plans.
Pereira replaced Michael Carrick at half-time and was instrumental during his 45 minutes on the DW Stadium pitch in a central midfield role where he operated between defence and an attacking four.
"I can play in other positions but I enjoyed that role a lot," he told MUTV.
"I think it was very important for me to get some minutes and show the manager and show the team that I can help them. I am very happy that I could help."
Belgium-born Pereira added: "It's very important for me.
"I want to show the manager, to show the people around the club, to show the players that I can help this season. It's very important for me. I want to show this in training and just keep working hard."
