Porto fullback Alvaro Pereira hinted at disappointment missing out on a Chelsea move.

Chelsea failed to convince Porto to sell the Uruguay international last night.

"The clubs failed to agree and I will continue to defend the colors of FC Porto. They told me that they did not want to sell me so not to unbalance the team," lamented Pereira.

"As a player, I have to respect that decision."
